Firefighter/paramedic here, we run the ambulance service through the fire department. Correct we many times have to wait on police before entering, one of the reasons I don’t get the defund police movement. I’m not strolling up into a shooting or stabbing until police get there and secure it, I damn sure ain’t gonna be the reason partner doesn’t get to go home to their spouse and kids
