For starters, seems like a great kid that’s all about LSU and the family bond he has established with ‘O’ & Carter.

Said he had 16 sacks in a condensed, Covid season last year. Considering the competition Karr plays, thought that was impressive number.

Tygee & his friend/teammate, Aaron Anderson, are recruiting Shazz Preston and Shone Washington to join them in LSU’s 2022 class.

Tygee is going to be a really solid rotational piece along the DL. He has speed, quickness, and the build of a Drake Nevis.

Just one word of caution about La. HS sack claims: there are no official sack stats recorded. La. schools tally/claim their own totals.

Famously, Anthony Freak Johnson claimed a La. state record of almost 70 career sacks, with 17.5 in his senior season, which come to find out, neither were/are officialy recognized as there is no state sack category. They could have been legit, but Freak's single season high at LSU of 3 sacks in his Jr season makes me think, in retrospect, coaches inflated the highly-coveted prospect's numbers for his resume'.

Futhermore, I remember intensely watching/scouting Freak's last (televised) HS game (the only hs game I got to watch him in, a playoff loss to Terence Magee's team) where he needed about 3 sacks to get the "career" record of like 66. I only saw one shared half-sack, thinking he came up just short. The next day, articles claimed he got 3 sacks and finished with 67.5 career sacks, numbers the coaches reported to the media. I was glad he got the recognition, but even back then, I was skeptical cuz it wasn't the same game I had just watched.

I'm not downplaying the promise of Tygee Hill, just warning not to base any enthusiasm solely on questionable HS sack claims.

EDIT: Freak went to OPW, not Karr as I mistated.

Haha, I see what ya mean and I appreciate you passing along the cautionary tale (as I was unaware).

And I must admit that I was thinking to myself:

”16 sacks sounds like an awfully high number even for a high school kid”

He did. And everyone is safe from fake sack record keeping; it’s not even a school anymore

He wishes he went to Karr. I don’t think he ever won a game against us during his time in high school.
