Justified really cemented him.

He had a great minor role in Tarantino's Hollywood movie.

He's at his best as a cowboy, without a doubt. He basically played a similar role in Fargo season 4 (?) recently.

But he can be very funny too, as he was in Santa Clara Diet.

I'm gonna say Robin Williams. Never thought Mork from Ork would be a big star from that. He even had range although he was mainly slapstick. Think about Patch Adams and later movies like One Hour Photo where he was really creepy.

I wish Santa Clarita Diet got picked up for another season, I liked the show. I think Olyphant was great in this role, different than Deadwood and Justified - and I think it's more to his nature if you watch interviews and such.

Btw, Victor Fresco (Santa Clarita) has been a part of some good shows that got canceled before they should have - My Name is Earl, Better Off Ted, etc.
