House already passed the companion bill. Seems hard to believe that even Louisiana could screw this up at this point.

Yeah Stefanski's taxation bill needed 2/3 vote and got 77 of the 70 to pass it. The Senate bill of Cortez just needs a majority vote and so does Rick Ward's bill as well.
By the way, Karen Peterson voted NO for Cortez's bill even though the majority of her district voted YES for sports wagering. What a fricking hypocrite.
What's left on the bills:
1) Cortez's Senate bill needs to pass through the House
2) Stefanski's House bill needs to pass through the Senate without changes. AND IF the Senate adds changes to the taxation part of it, it will then HAVE to go back to the House for a 2/3rd vote which is possible it could die.
3) Rick Ward's bill has to pass through the Senate then the House. Currently up for Senate vote. This will be the easiest to pass if 2, then 1 are passed.
