That and some insurance counts the cologuard as your screening test and make you pay for a follow up diagnostic colon out of pocket if cologuard comes back positive. Enjoy getting that bill and having to have the colonoscopy anyway.

I wish I had done one at 50. Might have saved me all this I am going through now...... the prep isn’t bad if you do it right.

My dad's practicioner recommended this since it was cheaper/less invasive. The results read something like this

There's a 10% chance that everything's fine
There's a 60% chance that you have precancerous polyps
There's a 30% chance you have colon cancer

The numbers aren't 100% accurate, but the results are pretty general, and not really all that settling. He got a colonoscopy and was cleared.
