Confession: I don’t know if Shakespeare in Love is better than Saving Private Ryan, but I don’t lose my shite over it not winning Best Picture like a lot of people do.
Spielberg deserved his Best Director Oscar, but I’m less sure of it being Best Picture.

Life is Beautiful was the best film that year.
