The optics of the first outcome, considering how accessible live streaming is now, are bad enough to where your second outcome becomes inevitable. Hezbollah will get involved at that point as the West Bank turns into Gaza. Israel can handle Hezbollah, but it'll come at a bigger cost and at the risk of getting Iran directly involved.
