Nothing has changed .... just the definition of “racism” has become extremely broad
Example:
In the past - randomly beating up black people = racism
Today - not hiring some who happens to be black = “racism”

Suppose you are a white shop keeper. A white person and a black person arrive at your store about the same time. Which one do you tend to first?
If you tend to the white guy, it's because you're a racist, and don't want to serve the Black person.
If you tend to the Black guy, it's because you're a racist, and you think he's going to steal something so you can't let them roam the store unfettered.
Under modern definition of CRT there is no possible action that does not result in a white person being a "racist".
