You may be correct on the deeds flow. I was speaking directly to salvation. A friend of mine is a Calvinist scholar/preacher and predestination is a core part of his and many other Calvinists doctrine.

One of my closest friends from the past is a Bi-vocational pastor and we left one church to help him form a new one. Little did I know he had converted to Reformed theology ( Calvinism) and it put such a strain on our relationship, we left the church and are no longer close.
