She'll need to pay a wrecker service to impound it. Preferably one that she has a connection to. They can file for a title if 90 days pass and it goes unclaimed. They can then sell it to her for whatever they agree on.

Im not sure about Mississippi laws, but here in Louisiana, anyone with a storage license can store it and get the ball rolling. It only takes 60 days here.

The only downside to this, is the last registered owner will get notices for the stored vehicle and can come pay the storage fees and pick it up.

I’m storing an ‘05 LJ for a buddy of mine right now so we can get the title for him. It came back that it still had a lien holder on it. There’s probably only a 1% chance that they would come collect the vehicle, but it’s the risk you run.
