Lighting stricks twice in the same place. I remember back in 1987 when a badass tornado came right through downtown ATL. I was right near the downtown Haight Regency Hotel. Got so bad I had to stop my VW Beatle right in the middle of Peachtree and lay down in the seat. What I remember most was the flying debris. Bottles, rocks, all kinds of shite. I don't know how in the hell my bug got through that with not even a crack in the windows. Before that, I had ridden many a hurricane and cold fronts out in the Gulf on the tugs, but none came even close to being as scary as that tornado in the ATL.
