Except at a time of crisis, which we have, this doesn't hold true. Mexico is effectively lawless, and we are bound to defend OUR country to keep it from becoming Mexico.

A US Marine made the mistake of driving into Mexico the wrong way, not even wanting to enter the country at all, and ended up in prison for months.

Should we treat illegals the same? Put 'em in cages ?

We have a process for entering. It's the legal way. Why do you want to encourage those who break our laws ?

So are they felonies now are still misdemeanors?

I don't want to "encourage" them. I just don't want to fantasize about casually shooting them to kill.
