I took bowling as an elective in college. I was told through the grapevine the final grade was based on improvement throughout the semester, so I intentionally rolled mostly gutter balls and scored about a 35 on my first day.
I only attended 2-3 classes at the bowling alley during the semester until the final day. I rolled somewhere around a 150 that final day, and thought I aced the class. However, the final grade was based more on attendance than improvement, so I walked away with a “C+” in bowling.

My roommate took a squash class for an “easy A.” A girl beat him in the final match. He didn’t get an A.
