Best example I can ever give you is LSU baseball. Virtually non-existent when I was at LSU. Now probably second most popular sport on campus. That's what winning big does...

And it took us decades after hiring Skip to finally turn a minimal profit on baseball (which we still barely cover). And we weren't paying him nearly $3M, either.

We're paying Paul less than half what we'd be paying Mulkey. Baseball tickets are several times as expensive as WBB, and sell several times as many moreover (even when baseball sucked and WBB was awesome in the early to mid 00s). And they still barely break even.

Even when Pokey was here and we made the Final Four so many years in a row, the PMAC was still effectively empty for a normal SEC game. Only big crowds I remember were vs. Tennessee.

I'm not against hiring KM or even paying her the reported numbers. I just think the "why do you care, you're not paying for it" argument in the OP is dumb. Every TAF member is paying for it.
