It blows my freaking mind that perfectly healthy people have been willing to throw away a precious year of their life because they were worried about a virus they may not even get, that also has a >99% survival rate. It just defies logic.
Amen! There-in lies the true evil and wickedness of our society. People have the hubris to believe that tomorrow is guaranteed to them and that their fulfillment in life is somehow justified over the amount of time and assets they accumulate as opposed to seeing everyday as a universal gift. Unfortunately, there’s going to be a great number of people that will have wasted a precious year or year and a half of their lives cowering in the shadows and will be smacked in the face with a medical diagnosis, car accident, or general misfortune. Even then they’ll be blind to their own folly.
