OR, and stay with me, you actually read the story and realize its not true! It's literally in the Fox piece. The story was based on a FB post, seen here : LINK
Fox headline: "Virginia moving to eliminate all accelerated math courses before 11th grade as part of equity-focused plan"
The Facebook post that the whole story was based on, which INCLUDES the directly conflicting update:
"EDITED 4/27:
Changes/updates from VDOE:
• The implementation of VMPI would still allow for student acceleration in mathematics content according to ability and achievement. It does not dictate how and when students take specific courses. Those decisions remain with students and school divisions based on individualized learning needs.
• Local school divisions will still have plenty of flexibility to create courses aligned to the standards to meet the needs of all students; and provide opportunities for all students to advance through the curriculum based on their learning needs. School divisions will also be able to offer advanced sections and acceleration through the courses."
Seriously, did ANYONE actually read it? All you have to do is scroll down the OPs link slightly and it tells you the headline is bullshite. From the source that Fox based the whole story on, it's all right there! This is a classic example of why this place is such a joke most of the time. 69 upvotes (nice)? Really? Does anyone care about accuracy at all?

mwade91383 just because you think your facts are different don’t make them true. My truth is to believe the headline. Therefore you are an idiot and wrong and should be embarrassed on how stupid you are.
