Seems to me this gives a lot of teams more time to screw up and get upset.

A victory after this weekend off, we could end up even higher in the polls....

(maybe?)

Possibly...but we needed this game to get ready for conference play.

What does it matter if we're ranked in the top 5 after week 2?

Since Troy could be considered a "weaker" opponent - we could still slip with a victory. Come back with a conference opponent win, we end up higher....

Just a thought.

LSU will drop a spot, at least, as a result of the postponement. Nothing to be done, and in the long run it shouldn't matter, but the voters tend to have a "what have you done in the last 15 minutes?" mentality.

You got it wrong. Not playing is often worse than beating a weak opponent. And who cares about rankings in the 2nd week.

I agree and contrary to what many people say, the ONLY way these PPD games hurt us is in the preparation dept. Doesn't matter if we beat them by 30-40 now or later IMHO.

I can't stand a man who thinks women have a place they should be. Truth be known his wife probably makes the living so he can afford to go to the games. If he is lucky enough to have one.
