PS5 copying/downloading issues

I bought the disc version of PS5 a few weeks ago and have yet to be able to play any games on it. I bought COD and was never able to successfully play it because it never downloaded or copied the campaign part of it. It only copied the multiplayer part. I just got MLB the Show on Tuesday and it's still downloading with over 30 hours left until i can play it. The only option it gives me is an exhibition game between Tampa Bay and LA.
I have reset the PS5 in safe mode and it's still not working. Anyone else have this issue?

I’ve had problems with my downloading updates while in rest mode as well. I recommend going to the game on the home page and hitting the options button, and it may say check for updates.
You may have to also delete the game and try to reinstall it.

Thanks for your help. I deleted it and trying it again. It seems that the newest version of it is the thing that is screwing me up. We will see.

No problem. Just another thing, I have noticed downloads seems to go quicker when the PS5 is in rest mode. It was the same way with the PS4, maybe that will help your games install quicker.

Just giving an update. This seemed to have worked. Still frustrating and kind of wish for the old days of inserting disc and playing immediately without this downloading stuff

It’s interesting to me that console manufacturers seem intent on giving up most of the benefits consoles traditionally have over PC gaming.
