I did the ancestry.com thing and found that none of my ancestors had anything to do with slavery, none had wealth and they traced back to poor immigrants in the 1,800's. My dad was raised in an orphanage and my Mom's dad was an orphan, was raised by a dirt farm uncle and did not even attend high school. Neither of my parents went to college. I have had a wage based job since I was 14 and I worked various labor jobs since I was 10. My deceased parents left very little of monetary value, same story for my wife. When we married we had 2 worn out cars, a few clothes a little used furniture and a 14" B&W TV. However, our real inheritance and wealth is Christian faith, work ethic, personal responsibility and positive attitude. Today, our net worth is 7 figures and God enabled that. The point is, we have no association with the pop excuse called "generational wealth".
Oh yeah, my wife is 1/4 Cherokee, so I guess she should be as entitled to reparations as much as anyone.
