Apparently, he wants to go back to making non-action movies (being 61 is probably a factor) and working with acclaimed directors.

I hope he’s serious about that and pursues it. Heard some rumors he was attached to the next tarintino movie but that just got scrapped
I think Covid was a real jolt to some of the old guard directors and actors. Saw their own death in a way, seems like almost all the 60 plus year old directors have been putting out as much film as they can before they can’t do it any longer.
I’m long overdue for a magnolia rewatch well. One of my favorite films still (my previous posts in this thread are all 3 years old so standing the test of time )
