I think sfp summed up my feelings pretty well. It was creepy at times, but it seemed like it missed every opportunity to be a really special horror flick

Agree with everyone--big disappointment, especially for a 2 1/2 hour movie. My wife couldn't finish it, but I did with the help of a gin/vodka martini.
Coming in, I liked that it had James Badge Dale as the lead actor--he's always been great in supporting roles whether it be the bad guy in "Iron Man 3" or the good guy in "World War Z".
Best scene? When he saw the horde chanting around the bonfire, then just as he left, the lights all went out and went quiet. Then the horde slowly started moving towards him...
But what a waste of 2 1/2 hours.
