Neither of these are what you think.
Tunnels in Harvey and Belle Chasse have no real issues.

I know where plenty of basements are and at least two in ground cemeteries.
I know what you're saying but a tunnel below sea level isn't a big deal.
Nola's real issue is its built on clay.
