That technology would have been developed anyway, although the pace and timeline of advances might change. To me, slowed advancement seems like a fair tradeoff for sparing the lives of millions of people and preventing the wholesale destruction of countries and continents. Choke the shite out of one little Kraut baby to avoid worldwide calamity. I'd even pencil a little mustache on him before he gets asphyxiated.
