Honest question here, and I don't mean any disrespect whatsoever, but you seem to be infatuated with everything Ping?

I've never owned anything Ping other than a G400 driver, which served me well for the time I had it

Sometimes you just find a brand you like, but I think I'm more like you. I didn't do the $4k new clubs + fitting, because I'm not that good. However I did go and swing a bunch of irons and drivers and made a choice on what I hit well. I didn't really pay attention on brands when I was hitting balls. I purchased Callaway Epics for drivers, and Apex (?) irons. I think that's the name of the irons. I found that the head of those clubs worked with my swing path and wrist snap/follow-through. They also seemed to be heavier club faces but I don't know if that's actually true. They just felt that way and worked for me. Once I got my stroke worked out again I could put a nice 5-10 foot draw on those clubs as well. Coincidentially I think Pings have heavier iron faces.

I'm the same way. I never have went to a fitting, always just bought/sold/traded to find what I liked best. Currently there's Cobra, Callaway, Mizuno, & Titleist in the bag. I just play what fits my eye & game the best

I bought a 54 and 58 JAWS without a test drive on the range. These are Callaway clubs and I can't hit them for shite and my short game is my savior. I know there's bounce and cut/grind so I've got to figure that out. It may be just a brand switch and finding something I can strike consistiently. Golf is the devil's pastime.

It could be the bounce lol. I had a set of low bounce MG2s that I traded for some Vokey SM7 Wedgeworks. The 58* had 12* of bounce and I couldn't hit it for shite.

Now I'm back to a low bounce set of SM8s in the bag
