What is in all likelihood best for the future of the program?
If I thought this team could turn it around and make it to Omaha, I MIGHT hope to win this series.
Long term, we need PM gone. Therefore LSU needs to get swept.

Both can happen. It doesn't have to be one or the other. This team could turn it around, go on an incredible run, and have PM step down at the conclusion. The more that I watch and listen to PM, the more I get the impression that he's wearing down, burning out...win or lose.
