That's sort of how it as for me. It was a good enough movie, and definitely had the QT vibes to it. All in all, I enjoyed it okay enough, I just didn't particularly like it very much.

I also thought the ending was borderline stupid. The movie just went off the rails. And I get that is sort of the point, and it's a "Once upon a time..." kind of movie. But all in all, I was really pumped about this one and ended up coming out of is disappointed. I usually do a good job of tempering expectations, and so I think part of it is that I screwed myself in that regard. I may give it another shot at some point, it's just SUPER long. Also, I still need to watch Jackie Brown since I've never seen that one.

One of his best films and highly underrated in his catalogue

It’s also a bit of a slow burn so you may not like it if that’s what turned you off of OUATIH tho
