Some positives for Johnson however were that the rushing game seemed to be significantly better in games he started

Sacks and untimely sacks seemed to be less frequent

Time of possession seemed to sway in favor of LSU

We have a tendency to look at the QB's and even the offense in a bubble. When really a qb's performance and tendencies have an effect on the team as a whole. This is why the competition is closer than a lot give it credit for and why many think Johnson has a legitimate shot given some game time experience and a new offense that everyone must learn

Btw, to beat bama, you at the very least have to have an efficiently mobile qb, and you really need a running qb unless they can sling it like god burrow

Was the running game better simply because of Johnson or had the offensive line gelled a little better as they got reps under their belt?
