Max played well but not amazing against Florida.

He had 3 TDS but also dunked and dunked most of the game. He had 3 passing yards on our final drive.

And the Ole Miss game was 70%
Boutte going through frick off.

He’s probably better than Finley, but Finley also got fed to the wolves behind a shitty OL.

You’re right we did dink and dunk a lot but remember that visibility was low because of the fog in that game and early on we pushed it more. I think he played well vs Florida but again that was a terrible defense. I also think there’s no comparison between he and Finley right now. At least with Max you can run the offense and it wasn’t so constricted the way it was with Finley. Finley has talent but it’s just gonna take a little longer with him. Remember Finley is coming from a very antiquated system in HS so he’s got that much more catching up to do when it comes to playing the modern position and all the things that entails.

Max played behind the same o line. Now do negative plays of Finley vs Max. Max had very few. Finley had back breaking negative plays. Finley can't do what Max can do via his legs and in today's game that matters. Even Clemson installed run plays for Lawrence because he can haul it.

Took what the D gave him and don’t think the UF coaches didn’t know his limitations deep. It was about poise. On the road against a Florida team with legit playoff hopes. I’m just not convinced Myles wins that game. Myles is more polished Bec he had years of college coaching. I know he’s mobile enough but I seriously? His durability Bec IMO were not beating elite Sec teams wout a qb who can make big time runs n big moments. Especially a Saban D. Burrow was the best hands down and wout some big time runs we may have lost. As far as TJ being not Sec caliber.. I don’t buy that. Bec he struggled as a TF? Cmon. He didn’t have Brad Johnson teaching him from the time he could walk. Or several years of college coaching. In a few years I think he’s a stud. May not be at Lsu but he showed some promise start to finish vs USC. It wasn’t 2 min drill down 30 to state. So whoever mentioned Harris just don’t! Even if it was just an arm strength reference. MB is capable if he stays healthy for sure but something tells me Max has that X factor ppl always mention. The way he kept answering not just at the Swamp. But against a Lane coached offense. I mean who else can we think of in Lsu history that could do that ? Hmmmmm I only can think of one. Mental toughness/ ice water n veins gives Max the edge IMO
