Superman Returns
We hadn’t had a Superman movie in decades so we really hadn’t seen Superman flying with modern effects. Batman Begins was fresh on everyone’s minds. The teaser with John William’s Krypton playing with Brando’s voiceover was amazing. Felt like we going to get an epic movie.
The movie ended up being a boring mess with most of the main plot left on the cutting room floor.

Haven’t seen this one mentioned, but The Last Airbender teaser is better than any scene in the actual film. I was pumped with the teaser thinking that was going to be a scene in movie, but nope. Nothing anywhere near as exciting as that teaser: YouTube
