I've had a couple of sets of Michelin and they never seemed that special to me. Maybe they rode well, but they sure weren't any more durable than Goodyears or Bridgestones, of the same basic type. (There are some pretty low-budget tires branded as Goodyear.)

I think Michelin’s often ride a bit too hard, but are certainly outstanding tires.
