I mean other than being drafted or court marshalled who would say they regret serving in the military. Most of us were young and needed the kick in the butt anyway. Sure you miss family and friends but those people you are serving with become that if you are stationed far away from home. I used my gi bill to help pay for my college and can buy a house using the va and get other benefits when i need to. Some of my best memories will be from the time i served. Of course maybe things have changed since i got out over 20 years ago.

Regret joining the Army. Not necessarily the military.

I have 2 years left and I'm out. Won't look back.
