frick that noise. Scar may have seized power by murdering his brother but people really need to stop blaming him for a drought. He can't control the rains.

As you'll recall from Hamlet, fratricide is an affront to God and Nature, and can be the cause of all sorts of otherworldly events to happen.
Also, more directly, Scar allowed the hyenas to overhunt the zebras, antelope, etc scaring away the herds and their excrement which would have fertilized the grasslands. Like Mr Hankey sang:
