I know drove over the limit way to many times in my younger days. And in a few cases its only by the grace of God that I didn't hurt myself or anyone else. But drinking and driving is not a terrible young person mistake, especially today with ride shares and cell phones.

DWI laws aren't always great, the standard is often arbitrary at what % someone is too inebriated to drive, and enforcement seems more about making money than making the streets safer....but with all that I'm a fan of zero tolerance for DWIs, if you get caught you have to do jail time no matter who you are.
