No baw, I was there long before the pandemic...

But glad to be back with all of you. It should be an interesting and fun season with lots of unknowns. Here are some of my questions/talking points as we hit opening day:

1) Can Miles Straw be a reasonable everyday starter in center field? My early answer is an emphatic "NO" and I predict he will have us longing for Reddick by the end of April.

2) Is Yuli broken forever? I think the answer is also "No". I am not sure he will have a "monster year", but I think he will be productive enough again to justify our love.

3) Will the young bullpen arms that we saw grow up before our very eyes last year hold up over a full 2nd season? I am very optimistic here also. I hope Dusty doesn't overuse them and have them run down by August, but I like the bullpen and think it will be a strength.

4) Is it winnable? My gut tells me in the long run the answer is "no", but it is April 1st and that means that hope springs eternal for everyone, so count me in for the ride!

Agreed except for the Reddick part.

Accurate.

Dusty likes to destroy starting pitchers' arms, not so much the bullpen. Remember what he did to Mark Prior and Kerry Wood?

It never is.
