- Advocating more for mask wearing and social distancing, and doing so by actually wearing a mask in public.
- Not undermining Facui and Birx(and yes I know they made mistakes themselves during this) multiple times.
- Not turning press conferences about the virus into side tent circus acts just to berate the press.
There are a litany of mistakes made by government officials across the board in the handling of it. Trump's actions undermined the American public's trust in him though, and it was a major reason he lost, IMO. Even after the White House became a super spreader location and he was sent to the hospital, he couldn't show an ounce of humility to be honest with the public.
