Coming to share similar. My house is 3600 sqft simple hip style with 2 dormers 8 on 12 and it just cost me $20k in November to have it replaced. State Farm paid for about half of it but with deductibles it was less than a quarter of it.

Did SF pay for 1/2 the shingles or 1/2 of the cost of the roof. If it is 1/2 the cost of the roof, do you not have a replacement cost policy on your home? Do you have recoverable depreciation?
