Maytag is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation.
Must are direct copies with exact same internals.
Nearly all new top-load Kenmore washers and matching dryers are made by Whirlpool Corp.

The parts are interchangeable when you go to repair them. The parts are cheap and easy to fix. I kept my Whirlpool alive for a long time until the mother board went out.
