I’d like to say I trade mine when the wheels fall off, but in reality it’s more like every 8-10 years

I generally keep them until they are crappy or repairs no longer make financial sense.
I had an 8 year old Infiniti G35 I just loved...it had 180,000 miles on it and I would’ve kept it longer but it had some issues that would have cost $4500 to fix.
I traded it in the next week.
