The irony of an LSU loss to App. State.....

Media attention to
1)the humiliation of Michigan and its coaches last year
2)the circus surrounding the rumors of Miles to Michigan
3)the SEC vs. Big 10 superiority issue
4)the Miles can't win without Saban's players B.S. would begin again........
When you add it all up, it would be antithesis of the Obama DNC "love-fest" for the media....particularly, naysayers like Herbstreit and Holtz....
I personally think there is a lot of pressure on Miles to win convincingly, which could make it tougher than a normal non-conference game....aside from the fact that App. State obviously has a good team.....I hope our boys get the job done in solid fashion....
it takes a while to build a solid resume (which LSU and Miles have done), but very quickly, this type of loss could change that....
Geaux Tigers!!

I assume you know what "irony" means?
If you think my comments mean that I think App State will beat LSU, my answer is a strong "no".
But, given the connectivity between the LSU, Michigan, App State teams in the past 2 years, it has strong implications for a "big story" for the media IF Appy pulled the upset.....
just think it puts added pressure (and hopefully helps the team prepare better) for such an event.

Irony
DC, I'm not seeing it either. Other than the result or outcome (i.e. Appy wins) being contrary to expectations, the rest of the post is not very ironic.

Ironic would be if my alcoholic father whose liver is almost fried and who drives drunk 4 times a week were to die in a traffic accident where he is sober as the noonday sun, right?

5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.

Per your "internet dictionary"....if you don't get my point, then sorry!
