Snorkeling at the crater

Expanding (Maui only):
-Obviously, go to a luau. (Covid permitting)
-Our crater snorkel included swimming w/ sea turtles. We got lucky and saw whales on the run back to the marina. (You don’t necessarily need a separate excursion for each).
-Snowcones/smoothies at overlook on road to Pe’ahi. Watch surfers, hop the fence and walk down to surfer’s memorial.
-Road to Hana: Just advising a FULL day for this. Don’t buy your banana bread until Halfway to Hana.
-Food trucks: Saw this mentioned. Seek out the tuna poke bowl truck like the tree of life.
-Mama’s: Best fish I’ve ever had. Try to time your reservation to get some pics at sunset - it was too dark for good pics by the time we tried.

Traffic should be lighter amidst Covid, but allot for driving time. If you need more suggestions, I can try and dig up my old Maui post.

Luau for sure
We did a similar snorkle tour, at the crater, swam with sea turtles by the shore and it turned into a whale watching tour as well, we could also see the whales from where we stayed
Road to Hana is a full day and we did a tour that ended at a winery with wine tastings

If you want to see another island do it on the front or back end of your trip
