I just watched it on IFC as well in the last few weeks. Sixteen Candles is a SJW’s worst nightmare. It is such a great movie in so many ways. Just watching it makes me think back to when our world was in much simpler times. The 80’s was the greatest decade ever.

If 16 Candles were filmed today, Molly Ringwald's character would be a tranny.

I’m going to have to agree with this assessment. Sixteen Candles is so quotable that my kids now know the movie verbatim just because of how many times my wife and I quote it.
