The problem with this design is that you can't fit a shite load of Amazon packages in the back of it.

I can remember the days of my youth (preAmazon days), and I lived on a rural route carrier who had her own mail jeep. She squeezed a large box for a tent that my parents had mail-ordered. I think it barely fit in the jeep. If I remember correctly I had to help her get it out.

The current mail truck design is decades old and in need of replacing. They are very fuel inefficient. But what vehicle is when you drive less than 15 miles per hour and stop every 1 minute or so.

Some of the mail vehicles they are replacing are even known to spontaneously combust because the washer fluid reservoir is located above electrical wiring and if it drips the wires short out and the truck can catch on fire.
