He got Clinesmith on a lie trying to make Steele a thing. Steele isn't a thing for the higher-level dudes because they knew much more than Clinesmith did and we do now.

If the Steele aspect is simply one facet, and that facet is a foundation for other tangents, do you end the investigation on that facet, or do you...investigate? To think that Clinesmith basically got a parking ticket for treason makes sense in only one of two ways: he either cooperated greatly, or the swamp is 100% in control.

Agreed, but on whom would those bombs be dropped. You assume Trump. If so, what is the hold up. They have been out to get him from the start. I don’t know who the target would be. Plausibly, it could be Obama and the fear of the unrest (summer of love / BLM) kept them from doing so. I personally think that it is more global in nature and concerns the central banking system. Simply put...follow the money. As for Biden not intervening, who knows as to why he hasn’t. Optics? Perhaps he, like you seem to believe, views Trump as the only target. Who knows.
