When is the last time you kept up with swimming in Louisiana? Literally last night a girl from Lafayette was top 8 for Georgia, 2 elite boys from Thibodaux have signed with Auburn and a girl from Shreveport signed with A&M. The elite swimmers don’t want to swim for LSU. Quit the facilities are bad false narrative, the pool has been closed 3 of last 4 summers for updates and repairs, millions in improvements

Worst pool in the SEC, school shouldn't put any money into it, wasting all of your TAF money.

I will say I mainly look at men's swimming so I will admit I missed this, this girl is elite for sure.

This is true, and it is a lasting affect from years before I swam at LSU a few coaches ago. There is a culture that Louisiana club has had that if you want to be successful you have to leave the state.

If LSU’s facilities aren’t the problem, which I believe they play a large role in the problem, then what do you attribute LSU’s consistent inability to compete for SEC titles? In comparison to the top teams in the SEC, the Natatorium is badly outdated. Every other LSU sport has current and modern facilities. Swimming is not current. They keep putting band aides on the problem when they need to scrape and rebuild. The LSU admin is aware. They have chosen to spend money in other places.
