4.44, and he will be the first wr taken in the draft. He's got more upside and potential than both smith and waddle have.

Just looking at some of the 40 predictions on here let's me guess who has actually played/coached ball and who probably hasn't. There are some that believe that a 4.5 isnt very fast and they're dead wrong. A 4.5 40 is extremely fast and unless you've seen it up close or played with/against players that can legitimately run that fast, you have no clue how fast it truly is. There are some players that claim they can run certain times, but when they're electronically timed, you get the truth on how fast they truly are or arent. It's just nuts how some think that unless a player can run a sub 4.4 that they're not very fast and that's just ridiculous. There's also a difference between track speed and football speed. Also, some players accelerate faster and some take more time to reach their top end max speed. Some can run better straight line times than others can in a setting like the 40 bc they run track and have been coached simply to run great 40 times. Some players won't run great 40 times that blow you away but when u see them playing ball, you would swear that they could run great times. Jerry rice, for instance, didn't run a great 40 time but he had insane top end speed. Jerry rice ran a 4.71 40. He just turned out to be the best wide receiver to ever play football as well. On the opposite end of the 40 spectrum, john ross ran a sweltering 4.22 40, and he hasn't panned out to be a good wr. So, too much stock is put into whether a player can run a sub 4.4 or not.

The fastest guy I've ever seen run and played against was trindon holliday and he ran in the 4.3s. He was unbelievably fast and reached his top speed within about 15 yards. That's world class track speed right there though.

I want to say 4.5..... but he always claimed he was much faster than JJets... and we saw what he ran. So I’m gonna have to assume 4.4 right!? Or did he just mean game speed. Because every interview he said he was faster and Jefferson never really disagreed

Watched Ja’marr do some speed training in a facility in New Orleans with a few other top college athletes. He was a legit 4.4 kid then and this was 2019. Im sure he’ll go low 4.4 high 4.3 at the combine.
