Samsung S8 battery life question

I have had a Samsung S8 for probably 4/5 years now. I have absolutely no issue with the phone other than recently the battery life wears down quickly.
I'd rather not get a new phone - would replacing the battery in this device with a new one correct this issue?

Same boat here, the battery capacity in our S8+'s is starting to decline. There is a finite number of charge/discharge cycles the battery is capable of, the number remaining must be diminishing quickly.
Got mine in early 2017, has been a great phone....Might have to try replacing the battery while waiting for google-less Linux phones/software to mature a little more before replacing the S8's.

I've called around to several "Cell Phone Repair Stores" - found one that will replace it for $65. I figured that might be worth rolling the dice on

Not bad! the battery replacement kits sell for < $20. Pretty sure I can do more than $40 worth of damage trying to replace it myself. I did an S7, it turned out sorta okay, messed up the foil lining the back cover.
For $60 or so it might be cheaper in the long run to pay someone else not to screw up my phone.

I ordered a battery off amazon. Replaced it a year ago. No issues yet.

you replaced it yourself on a S8? I watched some YouTube videos on how to do that - I think I would rather pay someone to do that.
I just want to make sure that a new battery in this older phone will made a difference
