Heard them talking about it on the radio. Not sure if they were talking about a specific area or the whole state, but mentioned that 20% of the power supply was dependent on wind farms...and more than half of the wind turbines were rendered inoperable because they had parts that froze and locked up. Supposedly they were trying to fly helicopters over the turbines to pour some type of alcohol solution to melt the ice.

Frozen windmills and solar panels that are covered in ice/snow apparently aren't very effective.
