Awesome.

There is a ton more out there. You will have that place to MD for the rest of your life I’m sure. You could find something everyday. You may find an area where they dropped the old gear and got new buckles and straps. That is a dream come true area looks like. I would hunt any creeks and and sides of ravines.

Thanks man. It really is a great place. I’ll take anyone that wants to go lol. Dad found a sword hilt, dog tags, bullets cut onto chess pieces...all kinds of stuff. He is huge into research and has all these old maps showing house sites, etc. Very helpful. I’m heading out this weekend again if the weather holds. Sometimes you have to hunt a site several times before you find anything... but there have been days where we find nothing but mosquitos and the like.

Do you have a pinpointer? Not necessary, but very helpful.

This thread has been like a breath of fresh air!
