I would visit my grandfather on my mom's side during the summer. He spoke no English, I spoke no Korean. Each morning he would gift me a pair of brand new socks. I have no clue how many pair he had but without fail, I got a new pair of socks. I thought is was strange back then, but it is now one of my best memories of him.

I always said if I hit the Powerball, I'll have a pair of new socks every day. Sports cars are cool, awesome vacations etc. But eventually you can't drink, frick, or run like you used to. But those fresh socks are something.
