I'll be in Rome during the Auburn game. I'm well aware of the rule against scheduling exotic foreign trips during Tiger games, but what's done is done. Anyone aware of any expat Tigers in Rome and any place where the game might be available for viewing? I'm hoping I can catch the game while my wife does some sightseeing crap. She said something about some Coloseum or whatever. I told her we were at Auburn that week, and we don't even play USC. Jesus, I wish she'd pay more attention...

I feel sorry for you Tiger. Your only hope is satellite TV.

I screwed up and will be in Nanjing, China, for the AU game.

Any ex-pats in the land of the dragon?

ETA: missing the horrible officiating will soften the blow?

There's a pretty strong alumni chapter in Rome. Might want to hook up with them.

They have their watch party at a little bar right outside the Vatican. I've even heard the Pope pops in from time to time around halftime.

Try the USO or US Embassy. I was in Rome with the Air Force and in Rome on leave. I pissed the wife off when we walked in the USO and they had the game advertised. I just gave her the credit card and said, "Have Fun"

USO is on the Main Drag(Can't remember the name of the street) about two blocks down from the Vatican. You use to have to have a Military ID to get in. Not the Embassy though!!

I will be in Munich during the Auburn game. I was hoping for a 7 or 8pm ESPN kickoff so that it's be around midnight and I could actually catch the game. I just would need to find somewhere that'd have American satellite TV.

I have high confidence that the Pope is a Tiger fan.

No doubt about it, although I have heard that John Paul 2 preferred Bama.

This is a problem for me every week because I live in the middle of the caribbean. All I have is ESPN here, but it usually covers football (soccer) or cricket...I still don't know how in the mess to play that game, they do have a big cricket stadium here though and locals say they tailgate here! (but they call it camping) People find any excuse here to party..kinda like the south.

But I just checked and my flight home to visit the fam is the Georgia game!

If you will have an internet connection, you can try here, here or here.
You do have to "use your imagination" so to speak. For example "ESPN2" may be described as a "Very Popular Sports Station2" and so on. Hope one of them work for ya. You can also try ESPN360.

Voodoo... i guess espn360 only works if you are in the states I guess? To get in looks like you need Verizon or ATT... They are broadcasting the LSU/App game, but I don't know how to access it.

Not too sure about how ESPN360 works exactly. I am assuming that it streams through your ISP/Cable Co. Wish had more info. I will see if there is some alternative sources. e-mail me closer to game day and I will do the best I can to find a feed.
